Nichols College Radio Station, WNRC 97.5, is located on campus in The Fels Student Center and runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
In 2005, the station received a long-awaited nod from the FCC for its application to inch up the FM dial and increase its wattage from 14 to 100 watts. This has allowed the station to increase its service area to local communities throughout Southern Worcester County, particularly the towns of Dudley, Charlton and Webster.
In addition to supporting a variety of live musical formats – from polka to punk – and an eclectic automated mix, the station has plans to offer greater community access to events on the Nichols campus and expanded programming opportunities.
Any Nichols College student can join the WNRC team, regardless of experience. WNRC officers will train future DJ’s on the radio station technology (If you can run a cd player, you will have no trouble learning the basics of being a radio DJ.). We encourage undergraduate and graduate students to get involved; if interested, please contact the station manager.

The station is licensed by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and is a fully functioning station with the same rights, rules and responsibilities as any radio station.
DJ services may be available for on-campus or Nichols College sponsored events. DJ services are not to be used for private events and/or events unrelated to Nichols College. Please contact Anthony.Champagne@nichols.edu if you would like to request available on-campus services.
